In order to extend the service life of the cooling tower and ensure the trouble-free operation of the equipment, the cooling tower and the circulating cooling water system should be thoroughly inspected and cleaned before the initial and phased startup:
- Confirm that the closed cooling tower, the fan of the cooling tower, the spray water pump, the float ball, the pre-pump filter of the spray water pump and the internal and external pipelines have been installed.
- Remove all debris, including leaves and dust, from the inside of the cooling tower, inlet style, fan impeller and water tank.
- Drain the water in the closed circulation system, check the water quality and clean the filter and add new water.
- Check the float valve to ensure that it works flexibly. Adjust the float of the float valve to close the valve when it is about 10-13mm below the overflow level.
- Open the butterfly valve in front of the spring, activate the spray spring, check the direction of the spring, then start the spray spring, check the three voltages and currents of the spray motor, and the current cannot exceed the rated current calibrated on the nameplate.
- Close the valve in front of the spray water pump, clean the filter plate of the filter before the pump, and then restore the working state of the filter.
- Lubricate the bearings of the fan motor. The bearings have been lubricated before the equipment leaves the factory. After one year, they should be relubricated. Turn the fan by hand to ensure unimpeded operation. Then start the fan motor and check whether it runs normally.
- If it is a belt-driven fan, the belt of the wind motor system should be tightened and the fan bearings should be lubricated when it is started seasonally. Note that the belt does not need to be adjusted and the bearing does not need to be lubricated when it is started for the first time, because it has been tightened before leaving the factory.
- Check whether the fastening bolts of the fan are loose, respectively start the fan, check the direction of the fan, then start the fan, check the three voltage and current of the fan motor, the current cannot exceed the rated current marked on the nameplate. Note: When operating under warm environmental conditions and the cooling tower has a thermal load, the current value should also be measured. After a long-term shutdown, before restarting the motor, you should use a megohmmeter to check the absolute green conditions of the motors of the fans and pumps.
- Before start-up, if the water in the cooling tower water tank and the closed loop pipeline has been completely drained, fresh water should be injected into the water tank and the closed loop pipeline, and the water level in the water tank should reach the overflow level, and the closed loop The water in the circulation pipeline should reach 02Mpa (pay attention to drain the air in the closed circulation pipeline). For a newly installed system, a fungicide should be added to the water tank for water treatment, and a corrosion and scale inhibitor should be added to the closed loop pipeline. When starting seasonally, or when it is shut down for more than 3 days, the water tank should be re-treated with a fungicide or pre-added fungicide and then run the cooling tower fan for surprise treatment to avoid biological pollutants.
Note:
- Turning on/off the wind quickly will cause the fan motor to overheat. It is recommended that the switch on/off of the fan should not exceed 6 times per hour.
- When using a two-speed fan, when switching from a high-speed gear to a low-speed gear, a 15-second delay is required.
- When the outside temperature is ∞ 0 degrees, and the circulating water temperature is less than 10 degrees, the cooling tower circulation is stopped. It is recommended that the circulating water enter the equipment through the bypass to avoid freezing and cracking of the heat exchange tube.
