An air-cooled heat exchanger, or air cooled cooler (ACC), is an industrial heat exchanger that uses ambient air as cooling medium within the pipe. The air cooler is mainly composed of the three basic parts: tube bundle, fan and structure and auxiliary parts like louver and platform handrails.

It uses natural air as cooling medium saving precious water, reducing the discharge of industrial wastewater and protecting the natural environment.

How to classify air cooled heat exchanger?

• According to the cooling mode of air coolers, it can be divided into dry air coolers, wet air coolers, dry wet combined air coolers, two side spray combined air coolers; (2) According to the arrangement type of air cooler tube bundles, it can be divided into horizontal air coolers, inclined top air coolers, vertical air coolers, ring air coolers; (3) According to the ventilation mode of air coolers, can be divided into: natural ventilation air cooler, forced draftair cooler, induced draft air cooler.

The air cooler designed and manufactured by Gaohua for customers this time belongs to forced draft air cooler. The advantages of the forced draft air cooled heat exchanger are: 1. It is easy to produce turbulence, which is good for heat transfer. 2. Low operation cost. 3. The tube bundle can be inspected from the upper part, and the operation is convenient.
