The biggest problem of evaporative condensers during operation is the formation of scale and fouling, and due to the working mechanism of evaporation and vaporization, it is more prone to fouling than other types of condensers.
After evaporative condenser fouling, it will cause the following Impact:
(1) Reduce the power of heat exchange: The heat dissipation of the evaporative condenser is mainly to transfer heat to the outside through the cooling coil. When there is no fouling, the transferred heat can directly exchange heat with air and water; if the fouling is serious , The heat has to pass through the scale, and then transfer the heat to the air and water. The heat transfer power of scale is very low, and the temperature cannot fall within a certain period of time, which will affect industrial production.
(2) Scale corrosion of evaporative condenser: The cooling coil is affected by scale for a long time, which will not only affect heat dissipation, but also corrode stainless steel pipes or copper pipes. According to comparison, the corrosion rate can be 2 times faster when there is scale than when there is no scale.
(3) Microorganisms corrode the shell: long-term microorganisms grow rapidly and will gradually cover the inner wall of the evaporative condenser. The microorganisms will accelerate the condensation state of impurities, which is not only difficult to clean, but also produces weak acid substances to corrode the inner wall of the shell. In the long run, the evaporative condenser that can be used for 10 years can only be used for 5 years.
